  1. What you are talking about, is what scholars, theologians and experts in religion predicted: the Charismatic Movement gone New Age. The New Age Movement and even the Occult is the inevitable conclusion of extreme charismatic movement. In this regard, I refer you to a book called ORTHODOXY AND THE RELIGION OF THE FUTURE, by Father Rose. There is a section on the Charismatic Movement, and on how it is helping in the formation of the coming one world religion of Antichrist. The book also discusses the nature of spiritual delusion, known in Russia as “Prelest.”

    • I agree with you. Anytime you have extreme reliance on individual ecstatic or transcendent personal experiences as confirmations of truth, you can imagine yourself to be nearer to God and to the realm of the divine than you really are, which is one of the major Christian criticisms of the New Age or occult paradigms. I’m familiar with Father Rose and have read some of his work and, although I do not share the views of Russian Orthodoxy, he makes a good point.

    • I believe you may be speaking of the modern day churches which are leading crazy Un-holy spirit rituals that we’re seeing more of. The people are out of control and high on their spirit, rolling on the floor, laughing and making animal sounds. This is the back door Jesus referred to John 10:1. New Age also can bring you there. Now that we’re in the Aquarius Age you will see a lot of this falling away of people as Jesus said in Matthew – many will come in my name.. Christ Consciousness, God Within In, Connect with your Higher Self stealing all glory from God. The gifts of the Holy Spirit come in many forms and its perfectly ok if they are being used for healing and other supernatural occurrences so long as all the glory is given to God and not the vessel in which it is being delivered. The fruits are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I am thankful I was led to the Bethel Ministry after receiving the Spirit in November. It has helped me understand what I am going through on a physical level. It was a bonus that my daughter had a stroke at 27 – 3 hours away from Bethel and was flight lifted to Redding where I was able to pray for her with a Bethel pastor and lo and behold she was released 2 days later. I believe in the Master Healer and Praise Him for working through these people.

  2. I really feel that the Holy Spirit reveals all truths in His particular time and that as Christians, yes we have to discern what comes from God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit versus the New age Movement which basically is going it without God and its worshiping the creation and not the Creator. The fundamental difference is that as Christians, we die to ourselves and become more like our Creator , whilst new age is all about me, I, myself a mix of humanism and pantheism that belongs in the “anything box” “cos what suits you , you put in the box. A little bit of Hinduism, bit of Buddhism, whatever blows your skirt up goes into the anything box. The new agers basically accept the cosmic Christ but this is NOT the real living relationship with a saviour that redeems us from the curse of the law and died for us. Without the Holy Spirit of God directing you, you could be misled and miss it!
In my heart I believe that God is doing a new thing, in HIS perfect time and that time has begun now. I have been waiting for a book that brings quantum physics and Gods word together for us to see the bigger picture. Our God created the universe and wow to actually have a relationship with our Creator is the most incredible experience EVER. My Spirit leaps with excitement as I read every page of ‘The Physics of Heaven” written by Spirit filled Christians.
Following both your comments above, I feel that the Charismatic Church is beginning to hear a new sound from Our Father God. I also believe that the’ one world religion’ IS the spirit of the anti- Christ exactly the opposite of what God is doing now. The word .ANTI can mean”next to” So the truth and the counterfeit run side by side. But I want to follow the one that includes Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  3. vera renteria says

Janis , I never engage in discussion like these . My name is Vera. I am a teacher and have been reading on neuroscience past 5 years. I was shocked to see what neuroscience has to say is so biblical. It says we were created for love. Most of these scientist are new agers instead looking to God they try to use insights to give credit to themselves.Nevertheles it is God who created us to love and become love as we become born again. I agree with you 100%. To add more look up Dr. Caroline Leaf she is a scientist and believer spirit filled. As a scientist she puts all together so simply and masterfully

  4. I have questioned things over the years and realized Adoni has put laws in place and people have learned how the laws work but don’t honor the author of those laws. Yeshua said that many will come to Him claiming all the things they did in HIs name, and He says He never knew them. We are His creation and have His abilities in us, and many use those abilities to accomplish many things but don’t recognize the Creator.
